A photography competition launched today in the UK, using the 3D camera on Nintendo 3DS consoles. The competition is launched in association with National Geographic Kids, and The Royal Photographic Society.
Competition entries can fall into one of six categories: People, Places, Animals, Objects, Nature and Augmented Reality.
Entries will be judged by a panel including Lauren Jarvis (editor of National Geographic Kids magazine), and Dr Michael Pritchard, Director General at The Royal Photographic Society. To enter, participants must take a photo using the Nintendo 3D in-build camera which falls into one of the six categories. The entry must then be uploaded to the competition website between the 2nd April 2012 and 17th June 2012.
Prizes include a trip for two to Paris, a photography masterclass, and runner up prizes of Nintendo goodies. Each photo uploaded to the competition website will have it's own QR code so that others can scan it into their Nintendo 3DS console and view the photo in 3D.
Good luck to all who decide to enter! I think I'll be giving it a go too.
