Starting Destiny

I started Destiny today! I tried it before in the past, but playing alone was a little tricky, and not as fun to be honest. However, this time around, I've been playing with two others (my Fiancé and my friend), and it was a damn sight more enjoyable.

MCM Comic Con - May 2016

So, MCM May 2016 is officially over! It always goes incredibly quickly, but as usual, I had a lot of fun, both as Press for 8-Bit Girl and Geek Mash, and just in general on the Sunday, 29th of May.

I was busy taking a lot of photos this time around of some fantastic cosplayers. I also spoke to Lee Skittrell from Rising Star Games about their upcoming game. We got to sample a small section of it, a conga mini-game that was actually really fun. The object of the game was to boogie around a dance floor and pick up more people in your conga line. The winner was the player with the longest line at the end. I also watched some of my friends and fellow Geek Mash team members play Odin's Sphere, Koei's Attack on Titan game and Rising Star's Lumo. 

One of my highlights, albeit brief, was meeting Tomb Raider's Camilla Luddington. She was really friendly! Here's the picture below:

Join Me At MCM Comic Con, 29th of May!

It's that time again! I'll be pressing it up at the MCM Comic Con all of tomorrow for both 8-Bit Girl and Geek Mash! 

I'll be tweeting throughout the day, taking plenty of pictures and doing some write-up's on both blogs. I'm also looking forward to meeting Tomb Raider's Camilla Luddington for a photo!

Happy New Year from 8-Bit Girl!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year to you all! 2015 was a year of many changes for me. Along with 8 of some of my closest friends, we founded Geek Mash, a blog that provided a space for us all to write about our geeky interests. We also started a YouTube channel that I have been a part of.

As part of 8-Bit Girl, I have been trying to blog here and there when I get a chance, and launched my YouTube channel. This year marks the first year I tried streaming my gameplay! 

2016 brings more of a focus on 8-Bit Girl again whilst I pursue my freelance writing career. I also intend to update my YouTube channel a bit more.

So, thank you for all the support, and happy new year! I wish you all the best, and I'll see you for another round of 8-Bit Girl...and more!

What I've Been Playing Lately...

So I have been busy as of late with a mountain of weekly freelance writing work as well as my full time job. I'm also in the process of packing for a move (one of two in the coming months!), so gaming has been on the back burner a little, as has my streaming over on my YouTube channel.

However, last night I realised that it is about time I have a bit of free time to myself among all of this, so I got in some gaming. Sadly I haven't got Fallout 4 yet and haven't got an Xbox One for Rise of the Tomb Raider (*sobs*), but I will be playing them thanks to my boyfriend and fellow Geek Mash member Casey who has both (woo!).

So, here's what I've been playing in the meantime.

8-Bit Girl at MCM Comic Con: October 2015

Sunday 26th October was yet another year where I was under the guise of Press at the London MCM Comic Con. Here I was joined by my friends and fellow writers at Geek Mash, as well as getting some bits done for 8-Bit Girl on Twitter throughout the day.

The three day show saw 130,560 people pass through the doors of ExCel in London, breaking the previous record set in May's MCM (122,600). 

The show featured a plethora of cosplay, stalls, panels, merchandise, celebrities, artists, writers, games and more. I spent the Sunday in my Alice Madness Returns cosplay. BTTF Day: Rocket League with Geek Mash

It's Back To The Future Day!

On the 21st October 2015, Marty and Doc travelled into the future. Well, we have officially caught up with them now! A lot of their future findings have not rung true nowadays, but it's a fantastic film.

As myself and my friends from Geek Mash love the Back To The Future trilogy, we decided to play a bit of Rocket League tonight in the DeLorean cars available as DLC.

Happy Mario Day!

Today is Mario Day, a day set up to celebrate a character who is undoubtedly Nintendo's most familiar one.

Appearing in an impressive roster of games, Mario continues to go from strength to strength, taking with him a loyal fanbase, whilst adding to it, from game to game. With more Mario titles due this year, it looks like yet another great year for the moustached plumber.

I shared some of my favourite aspects of Mario games over on Geek Mash today, including my favourite game, song, character and boss battle, among others.

8-Bit Girl Joins Geek Mash!

You may have noticed that posts on here have become a little sporadic as of late. 

Whilst recent life changes (a breakup, move into my flat, for example), may be part of the cause of this, behind the scenes, me and my friends have been cooking up a brand new blog that we are now pleased to unveil and collaborate on...
