"Bad Piggies" Gameplay Footage Revealed

Rovio Entertainment, the team behind the Angry Birds series, revealed their first gameplay trailer for Bad Piggies today.

Launching on the 27th September for iOS, Android and Mac, Bad Piggies allows fans to play as the pigs, with brand new gameplay not seen in the other Angry Birds titles.

In Bad Piggies, players will build a variety of vehicles for these cute little piggies to ride. The objective is to then complete an obstacle course in one piece.

Check out the trailer below. Personally, I love the green pigs in Angry Birds (come on, they're cute!), so I'm looking forward to giving this a go!

Rovio Announce "Bad Piggies"

Rovio have announced that a sequel to Angry Birds will be coming soon...or should that be a spin-off?

Bad Piggies, coming to iOS, Android and Mac on the 27th September, will be set on the pigs side rather than the birds this time around. Details at this stage are very limited. We can gather from the title that gamers will probably be controlling the pigs this time, rather than the birds. Other than that, a brief teaser video was put up online until more information is released. Check it out below!

Parallel Zombies Shambling Onto Android

There are plenty of developers jumping on the zombie game bandwagon nowadays. Many are brilliant, whilst there are others that are just plain awful. Judging by the trailer and screens, hopefully this one shall fall into the former!

Developed by PerBlue, Parallel Zombies is an Android-exclusive zombie hack and slash title. The game promises to see you hacking through hoards of zombies, either with other players in real time (with dropout multiplayer), or alone.
Level up and you earn new skills, or you can collect components to craft new weapons. The game utilises GPS technology to connect with survivors on your street to protect the neighbourhood. Also, those who like their customisation can customise their character. Choosing from one of three class specialisations, your avatar will also use a chosen weapon and any chosen skills.

Justin Beck, PerBlue's Co-Founder and CEO says that “Parallel Zombies marks our third title in PerBlue’s family of location-based mobile games. We’re excited to put an eerie

spin on the classic zombie survival game. You never know, there might be a zombie lurking in your own backyard.”

Parallel Zombies it out on the 19th July 2012. Check out the launch trailer below:

Angry Birds: Space Launch Trailer

Finland's biggest export, Angry Birds (yes, it's true) is back! Developers Rovio already have three Angry Birds titles under their belts, and Angry Birds: Space will be joining them in two days time.

The company have now released the official launch trailer for the game, which sees the birds slingshot themselves into a warp hole into space. The trailer shows off a bit of the familiar but addictive Angry Birds gameplay, except the levels and look have now been adapted to work with this new space environment.

Check out the trailer below!

This mobile version of Max Payne will include a HD overhaul (much like most re-releases these days), customizable controls and Rockstar Games Social Club integration. Those who are opposed to using touch screen controls will be pleased to hear that the game will also feature controller support.

OnLive Now for iPad and Android

The OnLive games service offers up quick to download full Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 titles, as well as a collection of popular classics, such as Abe's Odyssey. Subscribers to the service are now able to play via the companies set-top box for their TV sets, and access a bunch of games for the iPad and Android.

Now players will have access to great titles such as L.A. Noire on their tablets, rather than hooking up a console or playing via their computer. OnLive have also introduced their own controls which add a touch-screen interface to games that previously did not use this feature. 25 titles will now feature touch-screen availability, and a new wireless controller, costing £39.99 is also now being sold.

The great thing about OnLive is that it is a Cloud based service, meaning that remote servers do all the tricky processing that perhaps your computer may not of handled on it's own. Instead, OnLive relies on a decent internet connection to run the games. To compensate for a dip in the internet signal, the graphics are degraded somewhat until the connection speeds up once again. This allows for an uninterrupted gaming session.

You can sign up free for OnLive, where you'll gain access to a range of free trails (perfect for it you're like me, and are looking to write up some more hands-on reviews of the latest games). A subscription fee of £6.99 a month allows gamers to browse through the catalogue and download full games. It's a great service, which no doubt will get much bigger in the months to come.

Minecraft Pocket Edition Changes on the Way

Mojang's successful construction/adventure PC game Minecraft made it onto the iOS and Android platforms after much anticipation. However, many fans were left disappointed that this portable edition seemed a little limited in comparison to the PC version, especially as PC's Creation Mode is the only aspect of Minecraft included in the iOS and Android versions.

It seems that the Minecraft team have been listening to concerns though, as the new blog posted by Mojang details what they are planning on bringing to the Pocket Edition soon. Fans should expect:

A new file system.
Item system to be able to pick up items.
Crafting.
An inventory system.
Mobs-Animals and enemies.
Optimizing rendering code.
Clean up of code and overall optimisation.

There has been no date announced as to when players will see these changes be put into place as of yet, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who are pleased with these changes.
