My Japan Haul!

So, now my Japan travel diaries are out of the way, I intended to upload a video where I shared everything I bought out in Japan.

Sadly, I had some technical difficulties with my phone, so the clips I recorded couldn't be salvaged as apparently they had errored. Great! So, here's a photo of my haul instead. I forgot to include my silk Koi bomber jacket into the photo (but you can see this below in a separate image), and two Tsum Tsums - a bumblebee Piglet, and a Sleeping Beauty one, but everything else is present!

Here's that bomber jacket I mentioned above. I bought this in Harajuku!

Thanks for reading all of my Japan honeymoon blogs. I had such an amazing time, and would definitely urge any of you to check out that country. You'll love it!

Pokemon Apps!

So, the Pokemon TV app has been available for quite some time now, on iOS devices and the Nintendo 3DS. However, yesterday marked it's (rather delayed) arrival onto the Apple TV.

To mark the occasion, I shared a few other Pokemon Apps available for Apple devices over on iRepairs. Take a look here

Wooing Pigeons in Hatoful Boyfriend

Last night myself and my friend Jason played through one of the scenarios in Hatoful Boyfriend on Twitch. This bizarre pigeon dating sim (complete with bird puns!) made me laugh quite a lot. In part, this was down to Jason's decision to add some voice acting on top for each bird. Take a look at the YouTube video below to hear it for yourself!

Remembering Satoru Iwata

The games industry recieved some sad news this week.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata passed away at the age of 55 after a long battle with cancer on the 12th July.

Iwata was truly a key name in the gaming industry, helping to develop games in the Super Smash Bros, Kirby and Pokemon series as a programmer at HAL Laboratory before joining Nintendo in 2000. In May 2002, Iwata succeeded Hiroshi Yamauchi as the company's President. It was under his direction that Nintendo pursued the development of the Nintendo DS and Wii consoles in 2004 and 2006, the DS becoming one of the most successful handhelds of all time.

For top quality cosplay inspired by a plethora of games, films and anime's, look no further than Ryoko-Demon.

Her cosplay successfully nails the look and feel of each character, with her Team Rocket's Jessie (Pokemon) and Coco Bandicoot costumes being some of the best.

Great Rare Gaming Items Up On My eBay!

As many of my Twitter and Facebook followers are probably aware by now, me and my boyfriend are moving into a new place in three weeks time. We've been crazily saving for enough money to buy furniture and to pay for any of our belongings to be transported. However, every little extra helps.

So this is why I've taken to eBay this weekend and am listing a whole host of gaming items from mine and my boyfriends collections.

As the moment I am selling shiny, rare, mint and near mint condition Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh cards, Dungeons & Dragons books, a rare Konami Contra LCD Handheld game, Majora's Mask gold cartridge with a manual.

I will be selling more Nintendo 64 games with manuals once these auctions have ended in 7 days time, along with some other goodies I have acquired.

Here's my eBay store: http://my.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbayBeta&CurrentPage=MyeBayNextAllSelling&ssPageName=STRK:ME:LNLK:MESX

Currently listed. More in a week!:

I'd appreciate it if any of you would take a look at my eBay. They are starting off at a very low price, will be sent as soon as it's closed, and are packaged securely.

Thanks all, and happy bidding!

Feature: Nerdy Aprons!

I love seeing people's creativity, so I jumped at the chance of featuring DarlingArmy.

The brains behind DarlingArmy is Amanda Marin, who creates custom-made aprons for a whole host of nerd-dom, gaming being a large proportion of it. On her Etsy store and deviantART page, she shows off her creations, those inspired by Zelda, Pokemon and Portal to name a few.

When I asked Amanda these two questions, she replied with these answers:

What inspired you to create these aprons?
I've actually been creating femme cosplay designs for my best friend and myself for several years. We're both a little tan and therefore can't always cosplay for authenticity, so why not cute it up? Afterall, I don't wear pants in real life, why should I when I cosplay?

Anywho, the aprons came about when I was strapped for cash while I was student teaching full time and still going to school full time. When Christmas came around and I had no cash, I had to use scrap fabric to make my friends geeky aprons.

From there I decided to sell them. Instead of offering dresses, I decided pinafores were much more versatile and accessible for all women since they can be worn fifty different ways instead of just one way like a dress <3

What has been your favourite design so far?
Gaaaaaaah. Such a hard question. I would say...probably my design for Matt Smith's new costume for the newest season of Doctor Who. When I found the leaked photos from the filming of the new episodes, I instantly fell in love with the deep colours!
Amanda's current favourite design!

Check out a few of her gaming designs below.

This has to be my favourite!

Music Monday: Palette Town (Pokemon Red/Blue)

Today's Music Monday track comes from Pokemon Red/Blue.

Many Pokemon fans would agree that Pokemon Red/Blue were some of the best Pokemon games. They still hold up now, even though there have been several since!

The track I chose is "Palette Town", which I'm sure plenty of my readers will be familiar with (I seem to have a bit of a Pokemon fan-following). Enjoy!
