The Saddest Songs in Disney & Pixar Movies

Disney and Pixar are known for their emotional moments in film, and often these moments are connected by a song. Fresh off the heels of Coco's Best Original Song Oscar win for 'Remember Me', it got me thinking about the saddest songs in Disney and Pixar films, so join me as I count down what, in my opinion, are the saddest, sweetest musical moments.

'Remember Me': Coco

This song had me bawling my eyes out in the cinema. Remember Me crops up several times in Coco, but it's the final version sung by Miguel and his grandmother in the movie that got myself, and practically everyone else in the cinema, shedding a tear. 

Coco is a film that resonates with so many of us. It introduces children to the idea of love, loss, and the concept of death in such a heartwarming, appropriate way.

Tomb Raider 15th Anniversary Art Exhibit

In 1996, the gaming world was first introduced to an action heroine by the name of Lara Croft in what would become the first game in the Tomb Raider series. Fifteen years later, and Tomb Raider has spawned an impressive amount of titles in an on-going series, as well as presenting fans with two live-action films, a comic book series, and plenty of merchandise. 

This month marks the 15th year since the October 1996 release of the first Tomb Raider game. Created by Toby Gard and Core Design, Tomb Raider combined puzzles with action packed game play, and presented a heroine that rapidly became a successful and greatly recognisable gaming figure. 

The digital art exhibition kicked off today, the 4th October, and begins with a piece by Andy Park (which you can see above), the original artist of the Tomb Raider comic book series. The exhibition is planned for a month, and will end with a drawing by Tomb Raider's creator, Toby Gard. 

The first piece to enter this exhibition is excellent, and no doubt the rest of the entries will be just as impressive. You can keep up with the art over the month at the Tomb Raider 15 Year Celebration page.
