Borderlands 2 Top Trumps & Browser Game

Publishers 2K will be releasing a set of limited edition Borderlands 2 Top Trumps cards as part of a pre-order incentive at selected UK independent retailers.

There will be other pre-order incentives with the big retail chains such as Game, but independent stores will get cards that feature 30 of Borderlands 2's weapons. There's only 5,000 packs of cards to be dished out across the country, so it's strictly a first come, first served deal.

As well as this, 2K and Gearbox Software have also released a "de-make" of the game which can be played by browsers for free now. You can check that out here.

The Darkness II Launch Trailer

The Darkness II is already shaping up to be a great sequel, after impressing many with it's demo. Now 2K have released the launch trailer for the game, which, thankfully, is an impressive one.

The trailer features Jackie, the anti-hero of both instalments, dual-wielding and fighting in plenty of slow-mo shots. The trailer revels in it's action sequences, and shapes Jackie as a perfect badass.

Give the trailer below a watch, and let us know what you think. The Darkness II is out on the 7th February in the US and the 10th February in Europe. The demo is currently available to download and play via the Xbox Live Marketplace and the Playstation Network

The Darkness II Demo Out Next Week

2K has revealed that a demo for The Darkness II will be released on the Xbox 360 next week.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers will gain the demo first, on the 17th January, whilst Silver members have to wait until the 24th January.

I grabbed a go at the beginning of The Darkness II when I was covering the London MCM Expo in May last year, and was impressed with the gameplay. It looks like it is shaping up to become a huge improvement on it's predecessor.

The game is due out in February 2012.

New Duke Nukem Forever DLC On It's Way

Duke Nukem Forever may have not been the hit that Gearbox and 2K were anticipating, but it appears that they have life left in this title yet. A new set of DLC is planned, which allows for additional single player campaign content, and new maps for the multi-player modes.

The DLC is entitled "The Doctor Who Cloned Me", and is set for a release on the Xbox 360 Marketplace and PSN at some point this week. The single player section of the DLC is set in the mysterious desert alien base, Area 51, where a doctor by the name of Dr. Proton  is contemplating an evil plan. Area 51 will pitch Duke against aliens, clones, robots and more as he once again has to save the world.

The DLC also brings new weapons, enemy types and bosses, and a few new achievements/trophies.

Three new multi-player maps are included to add a bit more variety to the online gameplay. These are the offices of Pooty Inc. (complete with aliens), an EDF command centre, and the Breston Nuclear Power Plant.

Duke Nukem Forever's "The Doctor Who Cloned Me" is estimated for a release later on this week. It shall be available for an estimated price of 800 Microsoft Points, and about $9.99 (about £6.40) on the Playstation Network

Xbox360achievements.org have a great selection of screen-caps to browse through, but here is one of them:
