    MW3 Breaks All Sales Records

This weeks release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 took in almost half a billion dollars in one day, breaking all previous sales records. A whopping 6.5 million copies of the game were sold in North America and the UK in the first 24 hours of release, pulling in over $400 million, according to Activision.

This beat the first-day sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops by 0.9 million copies and beat its prequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by 1.8 million copies.

Such sales make this the biggest gaming launch in history, almost in league with the Largest movie blockbuster opening weekend. Currently that title is held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at $483 million. However, this is taking into account two days not just the one, which means MW3 could have beaten this milestone, making it one of the largest releases across the whole of the entertainment industry. Impressive, huh?

What do you make of Modern Warfare 3 so far? Leave your opinions in the comment section below!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Ad

On Friday, fans were treated to a sneak-peak look at a live action trailer for Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The trailer was not due to be released until Sunday, but several websites started displaying the brief clip on their websites.

Those who have seen that clip will probably agree that it seems to be left open for a longer advert spot. Well, we were right. Sunday brought us the full length version of this great advert.

In the advert, we see Jonah Hill of Superbad fame and Sam Worthington from Avatar as two soldiers from this upcoming Activision release. It's a great advert which shows the difference between new COD players, and the veterans. Enjoy!
