Three New Resident Evil 6 Game Play Trailers

Capcom has released three new Resident Evil 6 game play trailers, that were featured at last week's San Diego Comic-Con.  Resident Evil 6 is scheduled for release on 2nd of October, 2012 on both Xbox, P33 and with a PC version to follow.

Halo 4 Lands This November

Microsoft announced today that the latest instalment in their hugely popular series, Halo, will be released on the 4th November for the Xbox 360.


Halo 4 marks a departure from Bungie, the developers who took the helm of the Halo series up until now. 


Set four years after the events in Halo 3, Halo 4 sees the return of Master Chief, who was last seen drifting through space at the end of Halo 3, thus leaving an open, questionable end for many fans. Halo 4 will address why he is back (and how, hopefully!), as the Chief battles to save the entire universe from an ancient evil. 


Microsoft have released a trailer to coincide with the release date announcement, which you can see below. 

Star Trek: The Game Out in 2013

A new Star Trek game based on the upcoming film will be released in 2013 on all of the major consoles. Namco Bandai will be taking the reins of the game, but they haven't confirmed which consoles the game will be hitting as of yet. 


The film gains a 17th May 2013 release, so expect to see the game out around the same time. The game will be based on the films storyline, and sees Kirk and Spock work together as they try to stop an enemy race from conquering the galaxy.


The game has been described as an action based combat game, and you can check out last years E3 trailer below.

Risen 2: Dark Waters Gets a April 2012 Release

Ahoy there me hearties! Deep Silver and Piranha Bites announced today that Risen 2: Dark Waters will be released in April 2012. 


This RPG focuses on pirates, so expect plenty of eye-patches, rum, pirate talk, etc. Players will also get to control a monkey, and use a variety of brand new attacks that were not seen in the previous game, such as throwing dirt in an opponent's face to distract them. 


Let's hope that Risen 2: Dark Waters improves on the promising but flawed disappointing Risen. The addition of pirates and a controllable monkey already hightens my expectations a little.


Risen 2: Dark Waters will gain a European release on the 27th April 2012, and North America should be able to pick this up from the 24th April 2012. 

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Coming in February 2012

Konami announced yesterday that their anticipated Metal Gear Solid HD Collection has delayed it's release for Europe audiences. Fans will be able to get their hands on the bundle, which contains Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater on the 3rd February 2012.


The current North American release date of 8th November 2011, and the Japanese date of the 28th November 2011 have not been changed as of yet. Whether these change like the European release has, only time will tell.


The Metal Gear series has been hugely successful ever since the launch of the début title, Metal Gear in 1987. Players take control of a special forces operative by the name "Solid Snake." The gameplay combines action with plenty of stealth sections, and has developed into a formula that even now, fans are satisfied with. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will contain five of the games, in a brand new HD format, in one package. Sounds good, huh?
